Client Spotlight: Camille (From Intimidation to Unstoppable Strength)

Today, we're celebrating Camille, who is proof that finding your strength is about so much more than "getting fit"—it’s about finding confidence and building community.
Camille started training with me two years ago, and her transformation is one for the books!
The Beginning: Finding Confidence in the Gym
Camille came to me ready to make a change but felt the familiar intimidation of stepping into the gym after a long break. She trained with me twice a week, and her commitment was immediate.

Here is what Camille had to say about those early sessions:
"I trained with Liz twice a week this summer and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! Stepping into a gym and lifting weights was intimidating to me because I haven’t done so since Covid. She would explain the different movements/variations she had me do and its benefits which was very interesting to me so I can do those exercises with a purpose."
We focused on building that resilient strength foundation—not just going through the motions, but understanding the why behind every lift. Camille quickly realized how capable she was.
"As our sessions went on, I was so amazed at how much weight I was able to lift in such little time—she pushed me in a way that would challenge and excite me. Our workouts were always different and never tedious. I had a new challenge to look forward to each time."
Camille started with the goal of losing fat, but the process shifted her perspective entirely. The focus moved from weight loss to strength gain, and the results followed naturally.
"My goal at first was just to lose fat and be 'fit,' but the more time we spent working out together she made me more excited about getting stronger and lifting heavier which led to me losing fat and gaining muscle. Working with Liz gave me more confidence and a different outlook when it comes to working out. I’ve been able to have fun with the process which eventually led to results. Can’t thank her enough for all the fun and motivation she would bring at 6 in the morning!"
The Next Chapter: Group Training and Friendship
Fast forward two years, and Camille hasn't just maintained her progress—she has flourished.
After our 1:1 sessions, Camille seamlessly transitioned into group training, where I've watched her continue to grow and find new highs with strength and confidence in her body. She found her rhythm, surrounded by others who share her passion for challenging themselves.
Camille’s journey truly embodies the best part of what I do. Not only is she a former client who found life-changing strength, but she has become a dear friend. Her and her boyfriend, Alex, are now my fiancé and my favorite double date duo to hang out with!
From early-morning training sessions to late-night double dates, Camille is a true inspiration and a reminder that when you prioritize getting strong, you build a life that is full of confidence, excitement, and incredible connections.
