From Struggle to Sustainable Health: My Story
For years, I battled my own relationship with food and my body. Growing up, nutrition was a mystery; most meals came from a can or a box, and the concept of truly nourishing food was foreign. This lack of understanding, combined with societal pressures, led me down a path of trying every fad diet imaginable. I desperately wanted to be "small" and believed survival meant eating as little as possible. This unhealthy cycle culminated in losing my gallbladder in 2008 due to a combination of obesity and the extreme measures of the Atkins diet.
My weight loss journey of 100 pounds was significant, but it also plunged me into a new struggle: orthorexia. I became obsessively focused on "clean" eating, which, ironically, created a new form of restriction and anxiety around food. It was through these personal battles—the endless dieting, the health complications, and the eating disorders—that my passion for true nutrition was ignited. I realized I needed to understand how to truly fuel my body, not just shrink it.
This profound personal transformation fueled my mission: to become the person for my clients that I desperately needed during my own struggles. I've walked the path of confusion, frustration, and recovery, and now I'm here to guide you to a place of peace, health, and confidence.
